Affiliate Disclosure
Full transparency about how this blog earns money and how that affects what you read here.
Short version: honest recommendations only.
This blog earns a small commission on some purchases — but only for resources I have personally used or thoroughly researched. Affiliate relationships never influence what gets recommended here.
What Is an Affiliate Link?
An affiliate link is a special URL that tracks whether a visitor clicked from a specific website before making a purchase. If you click an affiliate link on WorkingAspirant.in and then buy the product, this blog receives a small commission — typically 2–10% of the purchase price.
The price you pay is exactly the same whether or not you use an affiliate link. You pay nothing extra. The commission comes from the seller's end, not yours.
FTC Compliance
In accordance with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines and standard ethical blogging practices, WorkingAspirant.in discloses that some links on this website are affiliate links.
Whenever a post contains affiliate links, it will either carry a notice at the top or the links will be clearly identified. This disclosure page covers all affiliate relationships across the entire site.
Affiliate Programs We Participate In
WorkingAspirant.in currently participates in or may participate in the following affiliate programs:
| Program | What We Link To | Commission (approx.) |
|---|---|---|
| Amazon Associates | UPSC books, study materials, stationery | 3–5% |
| Unacademy / PW / Testbook | Test series, online courses | 10–20% |
| Hostinger | Web hosting (for aspirants starting blogs) | Up to ₹5,000/referral |
This list will be updated as new affiliate relationships are added.
How This Affects Recommendations
The honest answer: it doesn't.
Every book, tool, or resource recommended on WorkingAspirant.in is either something I personally use in my own UPSC preparation or something I have independently researched and found genuinely useful for working aspirants.
- I do not recommend products solely because they have an affiliate program.
- I do not give higher ratings to products just because they pay higher commissions.
- If I stop using something or find a better alternative, I update the recommendation — regardless of affiliate status.
- I will always mention downsides or limitations of recommended resources honestly.
The credibility of this blog depends on honest recommendations. One bad recommendation that earns ₹200 in commission is not worth losing a reader's trust.
Non-Affiliate Links
Not all links on this blog are affiliate links. Many resources — including official UPSC website links, free study materials, government resources, and news articles — are linked purely for reference with no commission involved.
The presence of a link does not mean it is affiliated. When in doubt, assume it could be — but know that the recommendation stands either way.
How Affiliate Income Is Used
WorkingAspirant.in is a self-funded personal blog with no institutional backing. Any affiliate income earned goes toward:
- Website hosting and domain costs
- Tools used to run and improve the blog
- Purchasing UPSC books and resources to review and recommend
This blog is not a commercial venture. The goal is to keep it running and keep the content free for every working aspirant who needs it.
Changes to This Disclosure
This disclosure will be updated whenever new affiliate relationships are added or existing ones change. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update.
Continued use of WorkingAspirant.in after any updates constitutes acceptance of the revised disclosure.
